Jellies All Around By: W

Jellies, jellies!
They are everywhere!
All  those stinging  things,
all living in the ocean!
Time to escape,
they think I'm the bait!
Hurry to the beach,
I'ts    within reach.
WAIT! That's is not a jelly fish.
It's a Portguese man-of-war.

Pumpkin Painting

This is our first year not to carve our pumpkin.  The boys are excited about the glow in the dark paint we found at the craft store.  We'll see how that works out...

First Ever Soccer Season for T

T's first soccer season has been exciting!  He's scored 5 goals in 9 games, so he's definitely enjoying that.  He is, by nature, a defender.  Perhaps this comes from being the younger brother.  (?)  Anyway, he's having fun...and so are we.  Here is a look at today's game:

1st goal of the day - it went in!!!!  Just looking at this picture takes me right to that moment all over again.

Corner kick king!  He's got a cannon and takes this job seriously.  (Just look at those cleats!!! Make a mama melt!)

And another goal scored below.  This one is especially exciting b/c he likes to square up to the goal, so this was scored without him even attempting to square up.  His first two goal game!

Great coach, great teammates and families, and a great big brother cheering him on!  (This smile makes a mama melt, too!)  W has been great about cheering and encouraging.  He practices with T all the time.  He is thinking he'd like to play this spring.  That would be a fun change, since we've always been a baseball crew.  He'd also like to play baseball, be on swimteam, run track and keep up tae kwan do.  You know, they have school and violin too.  We may have to make some decisions!

Fall is here and so is the fair!

It has been a while since we posted last.  School takes top priority in our family.

Here is a snapshot of what we saw at the fair:

T - Longhorns are cows with long horns.

But, their babies have no horns at all when they are born.

Piglets drink a lot of milk.  They sleep a lot, too.

Donkeys are nice when they know you have feed.

This joey looks comfy.  He is a male because he has brown fur.  Females are more grey.

Check this crane out!

Bumper cars with my brother brings out the animal in me!
